Close to the school is the Ljungby library, a branch to The Library of Falkenberg . It is a special children library with recurrent fairy tale times and theme activities.

The present Church was re-inaugurated 1875 after a lightning fire 1869. The Church was at the time not insured because the insurance company announced that they could not carry a total disaster.

In Ljungby, the childcare system is divided in three peace's. The school, Ljungby pre-school and government child minders. In Ljungbyskolan is “Fritids” established, who take care of our school children after the school day is over. Ljungby pre-school, which is a parent co-operative pre-school, is responsible of children from 1 to 6 years of age. As an alternative, there is the government child minders, who take care of all age groups.

“Ljungby central school” at Bergagård was on principle determined before 2nd world war. Building school could not began until may -45, and was completed at 15th August next year. Inaugural ceremony was at 3rd October 1946 and the newspaper wrote “Ljungby central school, the most modern school at the country side of Halland".
